2020 Indoor Production

dona nobis pacem

Intended as a sequel to last year’s “Menagerie”, we continue with the butterfly metaphor while exploring survivor’s guilt, a sense of loss, possibly the five stages of grief, eventual hope, and the warmth of family. However one wants to perceive or interpret, we hope you enjoy the depth we attempt to put into this. The students have worked to the extreme to bring this to life. It’s an amazing journey of physical exertion layered upon an authentic sense of expression by the end.

The end crept up on us unexpectedly. We’re still not sure how we will close this season. Perhaps that decision will be made for us as well. There may be some of us that will experience the effects of today in a way that will dwarf the concerns of an indoor percussion production. Even with the seriousness facing all of us now, we put our hearts and souls into this program. And we know most of you did too, supporting us along the way in any way you could. There is gratitude and an eagerness to create the next opportunity as soon as it is safe to do so. Thank you to all the Vista Murrieta Instrumental Music family.

“Grant us peace”.
